Who teaches photography in Dhaka city?

At present there are 3 major photography educational institutions in the country. These are school, counter photo and baguette. These institutes conduct courses of different types and durations.
Photography School Patshala
Founded in 1997, the South Asian Media Institute is the pioneer of the School of Photography in South Asia. Various photography courses are offered in this institute. At present, exchange programs of several international educational institutions are running with the Patshala.
For those who are just starting out in photography, there is a one-month basic course. The cost is 5000 takas. And for those who have learned some work before, the foundation course may be better. Its current cost is 6100-600 takas. There are also professional courses and occasional special workshops.
Photography School Counter photo
The counter photo was set up with the aim of protesting against human rights violations and state terrorism through photography. The institute organizes various courses and workshops on photography.
There is an elementary course on counter photography to teach elementary photography. It costs 5000 takas. At the end of this course or if you have a general idea about the nuances of photography, you can do an advanced course. Admission fee for the two-month course is Tk 6,000.
The counter photo is affiliated with the National University. If you want, you can take professional diploma course or post graduate degree in photography here. On the other hand, there are opportunities to learn work from different professional photographers in this organization. Citizens of SAARC countries can participate in the program for a fee of USD 500, citizens of other Asian countries for USD 1,000 and citizens of other countries for USD 2,000. Counter photos like Patshala also have exchange programs.
Photography School Begart Institute of Photography
Begart, the first photography education center in Bangladesh, was established in 1970. This institution has admission system for basic and advanced courses. You can also get admission in one year diploma course.
Photography School Alliance Frances
Allianz Frances, a French cultural center, runs courses under the School of Cinema at its Dhanmondi, Uttara and Gulshan branches. It includes a month-long short course with a course fee of Rs 3,800. In addition, the cost of the 6-month Diploma in Digital course is Tk 6,400 per month.
Dhaka University Photographic Society
Although under Dhaka University, this organization conducts open training for all. The fee for the three-month program is Tk 2,000 for Dhaka University students and Tk 3,000 for the rest.
Other places to do photography courses in Dhaka
