6 tips to smartphone photography

Some tips for taking pictures with a mobile camera

With the evolution of the age and the touch of technology, the smartphones that we now have in our hands are adding some nice features to the camera unit as well as other components. And in this context, photography is no longer limited to point-and-shoot or DSLR. Rather now no one feels comfortable carrying an extra device in hand while travelling somewhere or going to an event, they think the smartphone is enough.

But of course, serious photographers are different. Looking at Facebook, Twitter and other such social media these days, it is clear that now ordinary people also take a lot of pictures.

Because even in most of today's low-end mobile phones, the quality of the picture is quite good, and from here the identity of a photographer is being born among the common people.

Maybe you are also a hobby and extreme photographer, that is, you take pictures with your smartphone. And in today's blog I will share with you some tips through which you can make maximum use of the camera unit of your mobile. Let's find out-

Creative Photography tips using a smartphone

1. Learn the basic rules of photography:
There are some basic rules and regulations of photography, you can find out the details in the internet. For example, the seven rules of the sun, the rule of the third - and so on. By knowing these, you can easily determine a good frame and after taking a picture, at least you can catch the difference of the previous compositions yourself. These basic rules can solidify the basis of your photography and if you follow these rules, you can make a very simple photo acceptable to others.

2. Keep in mind the light:
There is still a limitation in the camera of the mobile phone. Most mobile phones are not capable of taking good pictures in low light. So when taking a picture, first choose a direction so that if you place the object opposite to that direction, at least the camera can get the necessary light. You can try to change your position for static subjects. In the case of ‘silhouette’ photography, this direction would be the opposite.

3. Keep the lens clean:
While using the mobile, it is seen that there are scratches on the body of the mobile. And because the camera is on the back, the security level on the top of the camera can also blur the image due to stains. For this, use something that can protect the camera of your mobile. And if the stain is gone, you can take a picture by opening the back cover (not all models are the same again). And, dust or water vapour can occasionally accumulate on the camera lens of the mobile, so clean the lens occasionally.

4. Do not use digital zoom:
You must have noticed that in most cases, the quality of the image is poor when you zoom in on your mobile camera. This is because the digital zoom is used in the cameras of mobile phones, so when you use zoom, the picture gets cracked and a lot of ISO can be seen in the picture. So, try to take pictures without zooming. If necessary, you can go to the subject as much as possible and take pictures.

5. Be careful when using flash:
Now almost all camera units of mobiles have LED flash. You should be careful when using Flash. This is because the option called Auto Flash, which is integrated into the camera app, sometimes does not work properly.

You see, you are taking pictures in daylight where there is enough light. But the flash of your mobile still flashed and played at 12 o'clock in your picture. Suppose again, when you need a flash in the dark, suddenly the auto mode of the flash did not work.

So, if you want to use Flash, you should understand that you need to use either Flash On or Flash Off mode. And if your flashlight seems a bit rough or extra for a certain moment, you can use a white tissue paper in front of the flash to get better results.

6. Notice the resolution settings:
You can go to the options of your camera app and see the various options, among which the image quality and resolution can be determined. The question that may come to your mind is ‘why is 840x460 still given in the resolution?’ In fact, you should not take pictures for the same purpose. You can work with different resolutions for different reasons.

For example,
you want to take a picture and send an MMS to someone. Then you can use small resolution images. Smaller resolution images are better but safer in memory. Again, this is not to say that you take pictures all day and go home and transfer the pictures to the computer to see the pictures are all small sized.
