Camera lenses take caring techniques.
Photography is an expensive hobby or profession, no matter what you say, it costs a lot of money to buy a DSLR camera and the necessary Camera Lens (or, Lens). You want your camera and lens to continue to be used year after year. If you want to get the best out of your photographic investments, you need to know how to properly care for each of your own tools. This is especially true for fine items like camera lenses.
You have to invest a lot to buy camera lenses, because they are really expensive. The lenses are made from extremely pure material. Use lenses for different assignments in different weather and natural and artificial environments, so if you don’t know how to take care of them, they will soon become useless. Having basic knowledge like removing dust from the top of the lens and storing your lenses in a durable and protective container helps to increase the life of the lenses. In addition, there are other areas of lens care that should be kept in mind.
Camera lens caring smart tips
Most camera lenses have two lens caps: one for the front and the other for the back. When the lens is not in use, make sure the front cap is in place at all times. I would give the same advice for the back cap. Also, keep the caps attached to the lens as you remove the lens from the camera. If you want to take good photos from your lenses year after year - this practice of care should be given special attention. Also, it is important to keep the gold electrical contacts on the back of the lens clean.
Photographers prefer to protect their lenses using Skylight or UV Filters. This type of filter is attached to the front of the lens which will protect your lenses from harmful elements like dust, smoke, dirt and fingerprints. If the camera accidentally hits a hard object, such as a table or wall, this filter will protect your lenses. Again, these filters protect the lenses from fog, drizzle. However, protective filters must be kept open before using the ND Filter, Circular Polarizing Filter (CPL), GND Filter, etc.
Keep a clean cloth in your camera bag at all times. This will be quite useful if you need to change your lens. Wipe the lens dust with a cloth before changing the lens; Then change the lens. When dusting, remove your other lens immediately so that dust does not get into it. Or, immediately put the cap on the camera.
It is best to keep a lens care kit with the camera bag. At least it's better to use micro-fibre cloth. This kit has a two-sided brush that looks like a paintbrush. A foam eraser on one end of the brush that you can use to remove dust and dirt from the lenses.
In addition to the brush, the kit includes a cleaning solution, cotton soft cloth, lenses and a special kind of cloth for the bulb blower (which gives a strong gust of air over the lens).
Do not use a general cleaning solution for your lens filter. The solution that comes with the lens care kit is good for camera filters and lenses. Using a standard quality cleaner can cause damage to your lens filters and lenses.
Those who carry cameras while travelling, especially on the bus, must think that they should carry the camera, lenses and accessories in a special kind of bag. And, place the camera bag on top of the car seat; Not on the car floor.
Let's see what to consider when storing the camera lens properly. The camera lens storage should be given strong protection so that it provides adequate protection to your camera and lens even if it falls out of your hand or plays with something at home. Many people wrap their cameras and lenses in separate micro-fibre packets to protect them from dust and sand.
Camera bags have multiple partitions. The number of partitions in the bag should match the number of cameras and lenses you use.
You can also use long straps and multiple partitioned camera backpacks that allow you to use them, especially when travelling.
Keep your camera bag or case in a place that cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. It should also be kept away from car heating radiators. Again, do not store your camera bag in a place or house that is damp.
Now let's talk about the things that should be taken into consideration for proper storage of lens filters. Use transparent hard-covered plastic containers to store lens filters. If you travel a lot for photography, carry the lenses in a hard case while travelling. Go to the spot, wrap the extra lenses in a soft case and go outdoors.
If you live near the sea or if your place is wet, humid or surrounded by water, buying a digital cabinet is the best decision, as it is the best way to protect your lenses from harmful elements like fungi. Lack of dust, moisture and light causes lens fungus to develop. A digital cabinet is temperature-controlled, so your cameras, lenses and filters will be safe inside the cabinet.
If you can't afford a digital cabinet, make your own "dry box". Buy a cheap, airtight and transparent plastic container and put some silica gel in it. The larger this type of dry box, the more camera equipment you can put in it. You can also put a digital humidity meter in the box. This meter will help maintain a certain level of humidity in your box.
Finally, again, take care of your camera and lens. Watch what you are doing and always keep a close eye on your photography equipment. Under no circumstances should your camera or lens fall out of hand. Even if it falls, you can use your photography equipment for a few more days, but it can damage your equipment - in a way that you may never buy again. Because all of us who do photography know more or less that photography equipment is expensive in the country.
So, do not neglect to take the best care of your camera, lens and other equipment.
How to clean your lenses
Here are three steps you can take to begin the process of preparation for mediation.
Gently open the lens. There is a release button attached to the camera body, which can be pressed and held to the right or left (depending on the brand) to rotate the lens to separate it from the camera body.
Use your blower and get rid of all the dirt and dust from the lens with this blower.
Pour the cleaning fluid into it with a clean tissue.
Gently wipe the lens. Take one pull from the edge of the lens towards the centre.
Gently reattach the lens. If you do not use the camera or lens after cleaning, put the cap on the lens again.
Taking care of your camera lenses on a regular basis will enhance their quality and durability. More importantly, it will help you to take good quality photos for a long time, pictures that will show the world the story that you cherished in your secret desire to show the world.
