Mathbaria Mirukhali 200-year-old Antiquities

About three and a half hundred years ago, a historical zamindar dynasty was established here. Its location is only three kilometres away from the district town. The palace, nahabatkhana, guest house, theatre and innumerable temples were built in this zamindar's house. 

The palace had about two hundred buildings, large and small. Among them, 40 or 50 high-rise buildings adorned the palace. Kalimandir was built in 1658 in the zamindar's house. There are about 25 Mana Rajan Shiva Lingas here. It is the largest Shivling in the subcontinent.

Durga temple and several monasteries inlaid with a great design. From ancient times the house was surrounded by religious ceremonies of various Hindus including fairs.

History of Antiquities Mirukhali of Mathbaria

It is rumoured that Vrindavan Chandra Kullu came here from Barisal district about 200 years ago for business purposes. They have been here since then. 

Vrindavan's three sons Purna Chandra Roy, Mahesh Chandra Roy, Guru Charan Roy's eldest son Purna Chandra Roy got the opportunity to be the zamindari of the area from the then zamindars. 

Zamindar is a recognized history of this dynasty in various developmental works including the establishment of Mirukhali Bazar School. 

The various public service activities of the Kullu dynasty are still visible. 

It is said that under the ground floor of this legendary house, there were a lot of gold coins and various ornaments filled with earthen jugs. 

Although all those treasures do not exist, the establishments of time are now witnessing the times.

It is generally assumed that Sundarbans are named because of the abundance of a species called a beautiful tree. Many people may have thought that it was named "sea forest" or "moon-bound (dam)" from ancient tribes. Also, many people think that it may be named because of its natural beauty.

Size and Location of Sundarbans:

The total area of ​​Sunderbans is 100 sq. kilometres, which covers an area of ​​6,017 sq km in Bangladesh and the rest is in India. Located in the delta of the Brahmaputra, the Ganges and the Meghna river basin, this unique forest area is spread over Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat districts of Bangladesh and throughout the North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas of India.

The Sundarbans are enclosed by a network of marine streams, mud chars and mangrove forests with small salt islands. It covers 31.1 per cent of the total forest area, which is 1,874 square kilometres, with rivers, creeks, hills and wetlands.

Plants and animals:

The first thing that comes to mind when hearing the name of Sundarbans is the Royal Bengal Tiger of Sundarbans. Everyone wants to see the tiger in Sundarbans. But very few people have the good fortune to see a tiger.

According to the survey of 2015, there are a total of 180 tigers in the Sundarbans, of which there are 106 in the Bangladesh border and 74 in India. However, according to the forest department, a survey was conducted in Bangladesh part of the Sundarbans, the number of tigers in the Sundarbans part of Bangladesh is now 114. The tour agency's number can be found on the various tour groups and pages on Facebook. If you want to go to the spot for three to four days and many, it is best to go through the agency. Then you can end the tour in peace without any thought.

Those who want to go to different locations and want to go to different spots should be fixed in advance. From Khulna Launchghat to the launch will have to go through Sundarbans.

And those who want to go to Sundarbans for a day or two, if they want to go to Sundarbans, they must first go to Khulna. Khulna buses are available from different bus stations in Dhaka. Besides, you can also go to Khulna by train. Those who want to board the plane must first go to Jessore, then from there to Khulna. If you want to go to Karamjal and Harabariya point you can leave Khulna city in the morning and return to Khulna in the evening.

When going to Karamjal and Harbariya, the bus will have to go from Khulna to Mongla first. Rent 1/5 bucks. Then down to Mongla, the trawler will have to rent karmajal and forage. Only if you want to go to Karamjal, you will get a trawler for only 5 bucks. And if the fare goes up, the troller fare will have to pay a little more. Then in the evening, you can return to Khulna if you want to return by bus or train at night.

Where to stay:

There are some good hotels in Khulna. You can also stay at Mars if you wish. Although the hotel in Mongla is not very good. So if you want to stay in Mongla, it will be better to stay back in Khulna.

Katka Sea Beach: 

About 150km from Khulna city and 100 km south of Mongla. One of the main attractions of Chitra is the Chitra deer team. When the clutches are approaching, the deer will see on both sides of the forest from the launch. Kutka Sea Beach is located on one side of Katka Main Point and Katka Sanctuary on the other. Just a 5-minute walk from the main point you can reach Katak Sea Beach.

Kotka Sanctuary:

Heron Point: 

When you go to Heron Point, you will see the text 'Welcome to the Blue River'. Not surprisingly, sapphire is another name for the heron point. But most people recognize this place as Heron Point. At Heron Point, you will find a wooden trail. This trail can go far into the forest, and to yourself, it may seem that you are lost in the forest.

Dubala Char: 

Locations of Dobala Chara, 25 km southwest of Katka. Many people recognize it again as a dry village. Various species of fish and crabs are found here. You can see the empty pooch and the droplet when you come to the door. However, the place is remarkable. If you can go to Dobala in the afternoon, time will be well spent. After 10 minutes walk to this place you will find a market. Many say the name of this market is Newmarket. After the evening you can come back if you want.

Karamjal: 

From Mongla Ghat, you can go to Karamjal by a trawler. From Mongla Ghat to Karamjal it takes about an hour and a half. You will see a large map of the Sundarbans just below Karamjale. Then, as you move forward, you will see the walls, monkeys roaming everywhere in the trees. And in front, you will find a wooden trail. Start walking along with one of the trails and wander around the forest and come back to your previous location. The watchtower will be visible in front of the trail. If you want to get up at the watchtower, you can see all around the forest.

Hadbaria: 

Located just a few kilometres away from Karamjar. Going to the house will see the beauty of the riverside. Then, once you get there, you will see the crocodile sanctuary. The crocodile will look in the eyes, and the Maya will also see the deer in the eye.
