Barisal is a traditional place of paddy, rivers, canals and silver hilsa. The horizon is a wide-open field, the current flowing in the middle of the field. 

The field is the lap of the countryside; Where the noise of children and teenagers and the dreams of a peasant woman are woven. 

The Illisha River flows past the village. Morning and evening in the public life of the two banks. The last address of this river may be Meghna, Tetulia, Kirtankhola, Payra, Bishkhali, Kacha, Sugandha, Haringhata. 

Innumerable boats, trawlers, launches and ships are floating on its chest. Fishermen's sailing boats and sailors' fragrant vatiali tune fragrant sky-wind.

Meghna This tributary river flows to Mehendiganj under the name of Ilisha.

Not only Bhola, but people from 21 southern districts also use this route, so the pressure of working people is much higher here. After that, a strong storm and wind started but people rushed towards the ferry soaking wet in the rain.

The name Illisha is not only for a river, there is also a union named Illisha. The Ilisha Union is the 2nd Union Parishad of Bhola Sadar Upazila. Administrative activities of this union are under Bhola Sadar Police Station. It is part of Bhola-1, constituency 115 of the Jatiya Sangsad.
