Transportation to the Tarua Island

The easiest way is to travel by river. From Sadarghat in Dhaka, Bhola Ghosh Hat will land at Karnafuli-4, Prince of Russell-4, New Sabbir 2 and 3 launches.

From there you will go to Char Kachhpia Ghat by Laguna, it will take about 40-50 minutes. The rent will be 40-50.

From Char Kachhpia Ghat, take a local trawler, cross the Tetulia River and reach Char Kukri Mukri Bazar.

Every day at 9 am and 12 noon the local trawler leaves for Char Kukri Mukri, so if you want to go to the local, you have to keep track of the time. This is the best way to go, it can be reached at a low cost and with less hassle.

If you want, you can take a reserve trawler for 600-700 rupees which will increase your travel expenses. Then walk around the whole char and its surroundings.

From Sadarghat, you can take MV Farhan-2 or the Tipu-4 launch at Bhola Char Fashion and rent an auto for Tk 10 to go to the bus stand and from there to Char Kachhpia Ghat. If you go by bus, you have to break down which is very time consuming, so you can reserve a laguna and go to Char Kachhpia Ghat.

All the launches leave Dhaka between 5-6 pm and Ghosh Hat between 3-4 pm.
