Camera JPEG and RAW mode choosing procedure

JPEG vs RAW mode photo selection

In general, almost all cameras save images in jpeg format. The advantage of this file is that it requires less space, and can be easily used directly in any software. And the problem is, that it uses less compression. The smaller the file size, the worse the image quality. The problem is deeper for those who go to get the perfect picture. They are also not satisfied with what is available using the largest possible file size. Because

Imagine taking a picture of the sunset. In addition to direct light, there is a kind of light all around. The sensors capture them when taking pictures in ZPEG mode. It is then lost when the camera processor converts it to jpeg format. You didn't find it in the picture as beautiful as you saw it with the naked eye.

Raw format is used to solve this problem. As you can see from the name, it is not actually an image format. The information that is caught in the sensor is saved.

The advantage of Raw mode is that you get the main view as a file. Then change it to your liking. Since all the information remains there, there is an advantage to change the light and shadow without losing anything. So the perfect picture can be found.

And the problem is that the file size is too big. Memory cards require a lot of space. And it cannot be used directly. This format is model-based for each camera. You need to use software that uses that format. The hope is that when buying a camera, any software is given as an RA-converter. And in the popular image editing software Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, etc., all models are allowed to use R-format.

In older versions of Photoshop, a software called Adobe Camera Raw had to be installed separately to use the Ra-format. It installs itself with Photoshop CS-5. When you open a re-formatted image, it opens automatically. There are opportunities for all kinds of changes without any damage to the original image.

Take a look at what can be changed there

- Open Photoshop and give the File - Open command to take a re-format image.

-Select the file from the specified folder. The image will open using Camera Raw.

- Here White Balance, Temperature, Tint to Exposure, Recovery, Fill Light, Blacks, Brightness, Contrast, Clarity, Vibrance, Saturation, etc. can be changed using the slider. Simultaneously his preview can be seen in the picture. No change will alter or damage the original image.

-After making a custom change, click the Open copy or Done button.

If your camera supports R-format (cheaper cameras may not have this feature) then take pictures in R-format. When taking pictures, you can get good-quality pictures without having to worry about all kinds of settings.

And when buying a new camera, find out if it supports the RAW format.

- There are always new models of cameras coming on the market. So some older versions of software may not have support for that model. In that case, download it from their website.

Software like ADB Bridge, ACDC Pro, etc. has RAW format image viewing systems.
