Different Types of Travel Insurance

Types of Travel Insurance You Must Know Before Travel

Travel insurance comes in various types, each catering to different travel needs and preferences. Here are some common types of travel insurance coverage:

Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance:

This type of travel insurance provides coverage if you need to cancel or interrupt your trip due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, injury, death of a family member, or certain travel-related emergencies. It typically covers non-refundable expenses like flights, accommodations, and prepaid tour costs.

Medical Expense Coverage:

Medical expense coverage provides reimbursement for medical expenses incurred during your trip due to illness or injury. It can include coverage for doctor visits, hospital stays, emergency medical evacuation, prescription medications, and other necessary medical services.

Do Bangladeshi Passport Holders Need Travel Insurance?

While travel insurance is not mandatory for Bangladeshi passport holders traveling abroad, it is highly recommended to have adequate travel insurance coverage. Here are a few reasons why travel insurance is important for Bangladeshi passport holders:

Medical Emergencies: Travel insurance can cover medical expenses in case of illness or injury during your trip. This is particularly important when traveling to countries with high healthcare costs, as it can help you access quality medical care without incurring substantial financial burdens.

Trip Cancellation or Interruption: Travel insurance can provide reimbursement for non-refundable expenses if your trip needs to be canceled or cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a personal emergency, natural disaster, or political unrest.

Procedure to get the Schengen visa to travel Europian countries

A number of European countries signed a treaty in the city of Sengen in Luxembourg in the 5th, with the aim of easing people's travel between the two countries by creating a unified region with European countries. It is said that the continuation of the agreement created the Sengen area and Sengen visa. Most areas of Europe are covered by this Senzen region and only travel with a Sengen visa for 5 days for travel or business needs.

Dubai tourist visa: Visitors must pay overstay fines, up to Dh300 for outpass to exit country

Dubai tourist visa

Dubai tourist Visa

Dubai offers several types of tourist visas depending on the purpose and duration of your visit. Here are some common types of tourist visas available for Dubai:

30-Day Tourist Visa: This visa allows you to stay in Dubai for up to 30 days from the date of entry. It is a single-entry visa, meaning once you exit the country, it expires and cannot be used for re-entry.

96-Hour Transit Visa: If you have a layover in Dubai and plan to stay for up to 96 hours (4 days), you may be eligible for a transit visa. This visa is available to passengers traveling through Dubai International Airport and is typically granted by the airline that you are traveling with.

14-Day Service Visa: This visa is provided to individuals visiting Dubai for short-term purposes such as business meetings, conferences, or events. It allows a stay of up to 14 days and is non-extendable.

Multi-Entry Tourist Visa: This type of visa allows multiple entries into Dubai within a specified period. It is usually valid for 30, 60, or 90 days and may have certain restrictions or requirements.

It's important to note that visa requirements, fees, and application processes can change, so it's recommended to check the official websites of the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation or the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai for the most up-to-date and accurate information.

Additionally, it's advisable to consult with the nearest UAE embassy or consulate in your home country to get detailed information about the specific visa requirements and procedures based on your nationality and travel purpose.

Visitors must pay overstay fines

At the airport and land borders, people have to pay for the number of days overstayed and for a leave permit.

Visitors overstaying in the UAE must pay fines for the number of extra days after visa expiry and need to obtain an out pass or leave permit at the airports or the immigration office at the land borders.

In Dubai, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in general, it is important for tourists to abide by the visa rules and regulations to avoid any legal issues. Overstaying your visa is considered a violation of immigration laws. If you overstay your tourist visa in Dubai, you may be subject to fines and penalties.

The specific fines and penalties for overstaying a Dubai tourist visa can vary depending on the duration of the overstay. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the overstay fines in Dubai were as follows:

Overstay of up to 14 days: A fine of 200 United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) for the first day, followed by an additional 100 AED per day.

Overstay of more than 14 days: A fine of 200 AED for the first day, followed by an additional 100 AED per day. Additionally, there is a fixed penalty of 100 AED for each subsequent day.

In some cases, if you overstay your visa, you may be required to obtain an outpass (an exit permit) to leave the country legally. The cost of an outpass is typically around 300 AED. It is important to note that an outpass does not exempt you from paying any overstay fines you may have incurred.

Please keep in mind that the information I provided is based on the knowledge cutoff in September 2021. Visa regulations can change, so it's crucial to verify the current rules and penalties with the official authorities, such as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai or the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Bangladeshis have to go to New Delhi for VISA

my Photo Collection
Why do Bangladeshis have to go to New Delhi for some country visa?

There are about 200 countries all over the world. There are no embassies or consulates of these 200 countries in Bangladesh. Countries that do not have embassies or consulates in Bangladesh are asked to contact the nearest country's embassy or consulate for visas and other purposes.

There are no embassies in Bangladesh like Belarus, Serbia, Croatia etc. Although some have recognized the locals as "Honorary Consul General" no help is available when they go to their office or they are not interested in helping anyone. These countries have full embassies in India so you have to go to New Delhi for other work including a visa.

How can I increase the chances that my tourist visa (USA) will be approved?

Fabian Becerril describes some excellent recommendations and I would add that to demonstrate that you are a Tourist, the best option is to travel, to travel a lot!

Travel to any destination other than the United States, with this you will show that you are a tourist and that you have returned to your country several times

In the interview to apply for the Tourist visa, they asked me which countries had I visited? and the migration officer could easily verify this information by checking my passport with the stamps of previous trips to other countries.

''
It is a myth that getting US Visa is difficult. It all depends on their (applicants) presentation before the consulate officers at the time of interview. First, they need to fulfill all requirements to obtain particular type of visa and then have to express the purpose of their visit before the officer,

Tips to face VISA officer:

4. Know the Program and How it Fits Your Career Plans
5. Be Concise
6. Supplemental Documentation
7. Not All Countries Are Equal
8. Employment

10. Maintain a Positive Attitude

As a visa applicant, you will need to establish that you meet all requirements to receive the category of visa for which you are applying.
