World Elephant Day and Its Importance

What is World Elephant Day?

Every year on March 13th, we observe Elephant Day to raise awareness about the threats facing elephants and their conservation. This important day was established in 2012 by the Wildlife Conservation Network to recognize and celebrate these magnificent creatures.

Elephants are highly intelligent animals that have complex social structures and emotions. They live in family groups, with older females often taking on the role of matriarch, leading her herd across the savanna in search of food and water. Sadly, their numbers are declining rapidly due to poaching for ivory, habitat destruction, and other human-caused threats.

How Came World Turtle Day?

world turtle day
Fig: A turtle

World Turtle Day is an occasion that is seen on May 23rd of every year. The motivation behind this occasion is to praise these striking reptiles and to bring issues to light about the American Tortoise Rescue – a non-benefit association whose mission is to ensure turtles and tortoises all around the globe. On this informal occasion, individuals can give cash to this association, volunteer for different associations that advance turtle preservation and insurance, or essentially go through the day getting a charge out of charming turtle pictures on the Internet. All things considered, there's no set-in-a-stone manner to praise this occasion insofar as turtles are the fundamental focal point of your endeavors.

The Octopus Attacks the Young Woman from the Food Plate

The Octopus Attacks the Young Woman from the Food Plate

A young woman went to a restaurant to eat. Ordered an octopus. It is also a jaunt again. And eating this octopus is a danger.

Suddenly it jumped from the table and grabbed his cheek. The incident happened in China.

A video of the incident with the country's women blogger has been released.

It has been reported that the octopus was bitten by the blogger's cheek to protect himself before being inserted into the mouth.

The bloggers yelled in pain. You try to release the octopus from your cheek. But the dying bite that the octopus has set.

The octopus gradually increased the tear on the young woman's eyelids. As much as she wanted to release the octopus, she was grabbing the bottom of her eyes with his wings.

The Chinese blogger got rid of the octopus attack after a long effort. But then her cheeks were cut off. Blood starts to come out.

At the time of the incident, the blogger was streaming live in Kyushu, a photo-sharing app from China. The video is publicly available in that app.

Forest Dispearing Wildly, Animal Crying to Stop Now

Forest Disapearing

How Fast Disapearing the Forest Near You?

Did you realized how fast forest is disapearing sorrounding you? It is disapearing as fast that we do not think. A report of world bank said that- forests still cover about 30 percent of the world's land area, but they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Between 1990 and 2016, the world lost 502,000 square miles (1.3 million square kilometers) of forest, according to the World Bank—an area larger than South Africa.

How much is there of the different kinds of forests?

Two specific forest types, mangroves and bamboo, have been the subject of supplementary study. Mangroves cover an estimated 152 000 km2 and bamboo some 400 000 km2. Estimates indicate that about 60 000 km2 per year of primary forest have been lost or modified by logging or other human interventions since 1990 (not considering losses in the Russian Federation), and there is no indication that the loss of primary forests is slowing down.

More than 200,000 acres of rainforest are burned every day. That is more than 150 acres lost every minute of every day, and 78 million acres lost every year! More than 20 percent of the Amazon rainforest is already gone.

Plants and animals will lose their food and shelter. Floods: Bald hills and mountains can no longer hold back sudden flows of water, which cause floods. Increase in carbon dioxide: Depletion of forests results in increase in carbon dioxide, which will cause global warming.

5 ways to stop deforestation

  1. Plant a tree.
  2. Go paperless.
  3. Recycle and buy recycled products.
  4. Look for Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification on wood and wood products.
  5. Eat vegetarian meals as often as possible.

137 species of animals are becoming extinct each day, which adds up to 50,000 species disappearing every year, because of deforestation. If we dont act now, 10% of the worlds species will die out within the next 25 years.

We all should remember every day that without trees, humans would not be able survive because the air would be unsuitable for breathing. If anything, people would have to develop gas masks that filter the little oxygen that would be left in the air.

Turtle Lover

How to Love the Turtle?

Turtles are diapsids of the order Testudines (or Chelonii) characterized by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs and acting as a shield. "Turtle" may refer to the order as a whole (American English) or to fresh-water and sea-dwelling testudines (British English).

The world's oldest turtle died

The world's oldest turtle died

Turtles are one of the longest living organisms on earth. This turtle is among the top five. The average life expectancy of a turtle is 100 to 120 years. However, a turtle died at the age of six. It was called the world's oldest turtle. The turtle's name is Alagba.

It is reported that Alagba has finally left the earth after spending three centuries. The turtle owned by the Nigerian royal was 8 years old. The last members of the family have made such claims. The turtle was born on the 1675AD.

According to the royal family, the turtle is called 'Alagba' because of its old age. Which means that an 'old' 344 year old animal dies after a slight physical illness. Although the turtles live longer.

Many say that the turtle is a long-lived cause of the animal's metabolism. That means their power is also decaying very slowly. In 1908, German physicist Max Rabner presented a clue about the life span of animals. Where it was said, the faster the metabolism of an animal, the shorter its life expectancy.

In the last century, many scientists have made headway about this. The metabolism is related to some of the basic elements of the organism and to the immobilized molecules. According to this source, turtles live longer.
